Vet care for Sookie

My special needs dog Sookie has had a lifetime of illness; beginning with parvo and distemper as a pup, which caused neurological brain damage on her left side ( it takes her a little longer to remember things.) And a lifetime of being on phenobarbital for seizures.  I feel bad that she has been robbed of a lot of the fun of being a dog.   She is a sweet dog, and never complains. Today she went to the Vet because she wasn't eating and was breathing heavily the last few days.  My Vet Dr. Mingus, felt enlarged lymph nodes under her jaw and knees.  She had x-rays and a biopsy that I am waiting for the results from to find out if she has Lymphoma cancer.  The x-ray shows her liver and kidneys are enlarged, so she may need an ultra sound. My fur babies mean everything to me.  I am asking for some help with her Vet bill.  My job was eliminated in January and I am actively interviewing, but have yet to find the right fit; therefore I am unemployed at the moment.   UPDATE: MAY 17TH, 3:34AM: Sookie was having a difficult time breathing, and was very restless; unable to get comfortable. I took her to Iowa Veterinary Specialties 24 hour Animal Hospital around 2am. The Vet Dr. Hammersky wanted new x-rays, & discovered excess fluid surrounding a very enlarged heart. He had heard a fluttering in her lungs. He wanted her to be hospitalized, but due to financial reasons I am starting with two medications to leak the fluid from her body. Then have more blood work done & more x-rays to make sure the RX is working. Sookie and I thank you!  Angie
