Service Dog for Jessica Cunningham
Donation protected
Jessica is a Type 1 diabetic for the past 9 years but has been dealing with two chronic autoimmune diseases. Due to her other health issues and taking several different medications she has trouble controlling her blood glucose levels and has a hard time feeling her lows and highs. It is not uncommon for her to be in the 40’s and occasionally in the 20’s then jump to the 400’s. Not only this is very dangerous and life threatening these kind of numbers make her feel really bad.
One of our biggest concerns is that when she goes to bed and her numbers drop and we don’t catch it. Jessica has been recommenced as a prime candidate for a D.A.D (Diabetic Alert Dog) and is currently 31st in line for a dog located in Utah. Having a D.A.D. can sense the changes in her blood glucose levels before they become critical. The dog can also alert her parents if she will not wake up.
Donations will go towards the purchase of the service dog, ongoing training, vet costs and travel expenses.
Please help spread the word and help out Jessica!
