Operation: Spread The Joy

Donation protected

Hi everyone!! As some of you might have seen the last 3 years I set forth #operationspreadthejoy with the help of a few donations and a few good helpful friends.

The first year With a little over $100 we accomplished our small operation and put a smile on a few homeless men and women. Two years later we are still growing and we hit $1300!! We got to turn the gift bags into sturdy backpacks and got to fill them up with so much more and got to help a lot more people. I was overwhelmed with how many donations I received and most importantly seeing the gratitude from these people :)

This year with your help I hope to make it even bigger and possibly fill up more backpacks and maybe even purchase some sleeping bags to add to the mix!

Throughout the month I will be going LIVE on Facebook so you can see your money being put to good use and be able to be part of the process (no pun intended)

But For those of you who do not know what #operationspreadthejoy is I'll explain!

As you know the holidays are coming up quickly and well some of us aren't as lucky as others to get to share in the holiday spirit :(
And along with the holidays comes the cold weather, and as I'm sure a lot of you have heard, this winter is going to be just as bad or even worst than the last.

Those who know me know that it breaks my heart when I pass by homeless people and I don't agree on judging on how they got there or why they still are there, I just know that I'm in a better place where I can at least help.

So with that being said, I have come up with a plan in order to share some Christmas cheer and possibly give some relief to the less fortunate. This season with hopefully your help I will be making Holiday gift bags or hopefully backpacks to pass along to the homeless in the city!

We fill each bag filled with  a roll up fleece blanket, gloves, socks, hat, and some non-perishable food, toiletries and last year we added sweatshirts and sweatpants!

These bags then on a certain night in December (TBA) will be passed out by a group of volunteers that will be my little Christmas Elves along with me (no you don't have to actually dress up as Christmas Elves)

This is where you folks come in! I can't do this on my own! Unfortunately, in order to make these gift bags it costs money, so I'm hoping if you can donate even a dollar it could help make a little bit of a difference in someone's life! Also, if you don't have funds but would like to help with the distrubution I am looking for some volunteers as well, so anything helps! So please, like, share, and most importantly try and donate!
