I am so happy to say im no longer dying, but I depleted my saving to get there and my battle is not over. Please aid in my recovery to be who I was before this all started.
I have been in the fight with A Plastic Anemia since November of 2016 and was told by my doctors on several occasions that I needed to start settling my affairs because I was not going to make it. Doctors went so far as to tell me that i needed to tell my family and friends i only had about a year left and that it would be harder for our 3 children if I waited.
Well, I never gave up and neither did my husband and I can now almost be considered in remission. This year and a half battle for my life was extremely costly and we have never asked for money. I thank god that we had some savings and worked hard for this terrible time.
The costs included weekly immunosuppressive therapy nearly three times a week, blood, iorn, and plasma transfusion. trips to the emergency room. That quickly added up and insurance refused to pay all of it.
In January 2018
While fighting for my life, doctors found tumors in my ovaries that were associated with a medical instrument called Essure. A so called specialist was to remove the Essure and tumors from my ovaries, and unfortunately the surgery was butchered. Although I am elated to no longer be dying, I am now living in constant pain and have been told that I will need several surgeries to bring my body back to a healthy place. Even if this means that I will never be the same, I would like to try and feel whole again.
Thank you for reading this and remember that god is good.
My family and I would be extremely elated to receive donations but they are not expected.
