HURRICANE HARVEY - THE WHITE FAMILY

Hi, my name is Kristie Nieman and I live in the south suburbs of Chicago. My best friend Jayda White and her family were fortunate enough to make it safely to Dallas before Hurricane Harvey really did any damage but they left all of their personal belongings behind. Just like many other people, Jayda, her husband, Darrell and their 3 children (Zoey, 6, Fenix, 2 and Pilar, 11 mo.) are displaced from their home, leaving behind 1 personal vehicle along with the rest of their clothes, food, electronics and other belongings. This disaster also may majorly affect their business, White's House Solutions -as they are self-employed. Due to the mandatory evacuation in their subdivision in Richmond, TX, they also left behind their work truck for their property preservation company and many trailers full of valuable items. After living in the Houston area for less than 2 years, this event comes as a tragic experience for them but they are remaining positive and faithful that God will provide for them and all of the families affected by Hurricane Harvey.

I am grateful to God that they are all safe, but as you know, they will be putting pieces together for months to come. The Whites are some of the most caring people I know. My goal is set high but any amount helps them with food and temporary housing until they are able to figure out when or if they will be able to go back to their respective home and get back to work. Anything additional will go toward replacing personal items and necessary repairs for their home and work equipment.
