Help a Cancer Fighter,Save her home

Donation protected
This is the home of my Aunt Miss Edris Browne in the West Indian Island of St Christopher (St. Kitts), she is 72 yrs old, and for the last 2 yrs she has been fighting Myeloma cancer. She tried hard to fight this in her beloved home country of St Christopher (St. Kitts) and also travelled to neighbouring island Nevis to seek treatment to no avail. The Island was unable to treat or diagnose my aunt’s condition, which left her in an unstable condition in her home that is very secluded on the top of hill.

After spending most of her savings on trying to seek treatment, Edris was persuaded to come to England for a diagnoses and hopefully treatment. Since 16th April 2016 my Aunt Edris has been receiving treatment for Myeloma cancer. Edris was receiving treatment on a trial drug which cause her deteriorate rapidly once she was started on it. This was very hard to witness for her daughters, myself, and the rest of her family. She became dependent on a wheelchair and declined even further to the point she was rushed into Medical Critical Care where it wasn’t promised that she would survive, but with a lot of faith and praying and none stop care from the doctors and nurses at Guys Hospital and God, she pulled through and is now back on her feet and feeling much better. On 17th February 2017 my Aunt Edris had to return to England for more Chemo and currently the latest Chemo has sent Cancer into remission.

But although she had fought through one battle she was soon to learn of another battle ahead, which she learned of when she returned home to St. Kitts which is that she has only has a limited amount of time to save her beloved home (The Fountain). With all the money spent on trying to get treatment, she has no money to continue maintaining her beloved home (The Fountain). And the bank is now trying to repression the property, as she has fallen behind in her repayments.

For Edris Browne The Fountain is more than a roof over her head, it is a place that she literally worked her whole life to be able to afford to build working in London, the north of England and back home in St. Christopher. Edris and her then common law husband literally built the property themselves which is where her common law husband fell from a height causing him to lose his life and not see the property finished. Edris was able to have the property finished and on her own maintained the vast & large property herself even in her older age. Through the years Edris Brown has contributed a lot and had a lasting positive effect on so many people around her, she has housed people in need of a home in her property and contributed a lot to the West Indian diaspora including being one of the founding members of the legendary Leeds Caribbean Carnival in the north of England. My Aunts prayer is to keep the home she put her life into within her family and this can be done with the help of others contributing what they have to give. She has only a very short amount of time to raise £300,000 ($ 1,000,000 eastern Caribbean dollars) to give to the bank in St Christopher to save her beloved home The Fountain, St Peters.

Edris has plans to continue to open her home to those who need it most once she has been able to secure the property which includes an elderly nursing home & a bed & breakfast.

So please pledge as much as you can spare to help my Aunt in her hour of need, God bless.
