Supporting a 1st Year Educator

Hi everyone!
I am Saliseah Scales and I will be entering my first year as a 2nd Grade teacher! My sole purpose for entering the field of education was to connect social justice, education and equity to the lives of individual students. I strongly believe that education is a right and each child deserves access to both a quality education and passionate educators. I am beyond blessed to have the opportunity to serve and lead our youth while ensuring that I am contributing to equity within our schools and for our students. Throughout this journey as a teacher I will also be a student myself, obtaining my Master's of Art in Teaching - Elementary Education!
I strongly believe in pouring into student's academic learning as well as their social and emotional well-being. Educating students from this perspective will allow a more authentic and individualized experience. My vision for my classroom is to foster a safe and encouraging environment where my scholars will be able to experience growth, authenticity and individuality. Being a teacher means that I gain the privilege to become a resource to a group of future leaders. While being that resource for my students I want to ensure that they have everything they need to facilitate creative and explorative academic learning.
In addition to educational advice, prayers and encouragement, I am seeking the financial help of those who are interested in contributing to my classroom. I am very excited and super humble throughout this entire process and would greatly appreciate any help that is given!
