Eyeball Removal for Sweet Baby Kitten

My mom was out for a walk last Friday in rural south jersey when she found a stray orange kitten. His tiny eyes were bleeding and infected and he was skinny and covered in fleas from head to tail.  She immediately brought him to the vet, who told her that he could either euthanize him or give him medicine for the infection & fleas.  Her choice.  She chose the medicine (and $700 vet bill) and brought him home. 

On the ride home, he was purring so loudly my Dad asked my Mom if she thought he was okay... We assume he hasn't had a mother for awhile, and just was so happy to finally be safe and loved. He now has a name (Pippin) and hasn't stopped purring or cuddling in the 6 days he's been "home".

Unfortunately, in a follow-up vet appointment Monday, we found out  that both eyes are not only infected, but that he has gashes in them (likely from being attacked by another animal) and that there is fluid sitting in his eyeballs that can cause not only more infections but also cancer.  He is also completely blind.

Despite all of this, Pippin has been the  most affectionate, happy, sweetest kitten that we have ever seen. He just seems so happy to have been saved and be home. 

The surgery to have both of his eyeballs removed comes to $2500, a cost my parents were not expecting and cannot afford alone. They are angels with the biggest hearts, but these expenses are going to be really tough on them (especially on top of the $700 vet bill last week + all new cat supplies, etc). 

He'll have a long road of recovery ahead, but we've been told that he can lead a 100% normal and happy cat life without his eyes. We want to have the surgery done ASAP so he isn't in pain anymore and can start healing and living a normal and healthy kitten life. He deserves it.

Anything we can raise here will go directly towards paying the medical vet bills for this sweet baby's surgery...
