Brandon's Medical Expenses

Brandon Tabita was a great friend to all that knew him. He was a cool, down to earth guy that everyone loved to be around. Everyone in our car community knew him and his car. He was a good man that was down to always help others and to give advice. I know for me, when I first met him, I knew he was someone that I would want to have as a friend. I was lucky enough to call him that eventually.
He was a member of the California ST and SoCal Ford Car Club. It is our groups that is putting this page together with the intention of raising money for his family to show our love and support for him.
Unfortunately on the morning of 15 January, it is believed that Brandon fell asleep at the wheel after having worked a mid shift. He rear ended a school bus that thankfully had no children in it. Brandons car went under the rear of the bus and his car sustained unbelievable damage. Brandon also received irrepairable damage to his head and brain. He had to be cut from the car using the jaws of life which took over an hour to get him out. Once out, he was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The staff at the hospital was outstanding and have done all that they could, but informed his family and friends around 4pm on 16 January that there was nothing further they could do as Brandon is 100% brain dead. His family has been absolutely devastated at the loss of their son. They will be going to the hospital again today on 17 January to make their decision on whether to remove him from life support or not. With a decision like that, money should not be something they have to think or worry about. There will be high medical cost and impending funeral cost.
As a car community and a second family, I want us to try and come together to support his parents and GF as much as possible to offset some of those costs. Please donate what you can. I have set a goal of $5000, but whatever amount we raise is better than nothing.
We will be making t-shirts and stickers as well to try and raise some money later.
I would like to try and close this out within a week or two. This will also depend on what decision Brandon's parents make in regards to taking him off or leaving him on life support.
