I adore the process of creating jewelry for your unique and beautiful life.

Hello! My name is Laurel Schaefer. I live in Appalachia Maryland with my husband, Eric. We are both trained artists of varied mediums. I attended Savannah College of Art and Design where I studied apparel and textile design. Jewelry design and fabrication has been a passion of mine for more than 25 years. I started in a fine jewelry boutique, slowly finding my way to beading several years ago and have finally found my calling as a goldsmith and stone-setter. I spent 2 years training with a master goldsmith and stone-setter in the District of Columbia. After learning so much technique, I began to identify and explore my creative style and process. I find myself thoroughly intrigued by the creation of the elements and their stunning beauty. The story of a gemstone and the magic of precious metals can only become more amazing when it is united with the story of the human that will bring life to it and create new chapters with my art. I focus on complimenting Mother Nature's fine taste in my designs and try not to distract from what she intended to highlight.

This life has led me on so many unexpected journeys and I am grateful for each of them. These adventures provide me the inspiration for my work and life. I am so thrilled that you visited my shop!
