‘The most valuable lesson my father taught me was to know when to walk, and when to clench both fists.’
Proudly presenting his debut solo show 'Adherence' in June 2018, Melbourne-based artist Dose explores a culture, people, and the evident blurred lines which orbit his world.
Dose provides the viewer with an opportunity to experience his current environment in which remaining adherent becomes increasingly more paramount.
Comprising of four tangible series of works utilising mixed media approaches on a multitude of surfaces, ‘Adherence’ draws definitions between graffiti and art, required sub-cultural errands, anecdotal relationships, and an ode to a youthful memory.
Having been based in Melbourne for the majority of his creative career, Dose has focused on providing technically sound and challenging works to the city's surfaces, whilst developing suited studio based practices. The culmination of both disciplines have given rise to ‘Adherence’.
