Goodmorning Nyqa, how you doing girl?

That's good.

Our last pay was before December 22nd.

What am I gonna do for my light bill?

What am I gonna do for my mortgage?

What am I gonna do for my rent?

What needs people that they're working with

who are young,

who are 18, 19, 20 years old gonna do,

when they have to pay for child care?

I don't know what to do.

And because individuals wanna come and work,

because they have no way to get to work.

They have no money to get to work,

and then you make us feel like

if we don't come to work we're gonna be fired.

This was put on your door.

[mumbles]

What is it?

Son go to your room.

[mumbles]

Thank you.

Alright please.

They don't even say,

they say for the month of January,

I paid my rent, I paid over my rent plus the late fee.

So, this is what people are getting.

See how real it is?

[calm music]

I have to be diligent of what I do.

But when you're not being appreciated,

and we're on a front line,

what type of job are we gonna do?

We are trained like military,

we are trained like people that look for bombs,

and we're trained for this.

But then you take our pay away,

and expect us to come to work,

you're not doing it to the military,

where the front line is.

Me knowing that I have a check,

to make sure that my care is comfortable

made me feel like not only that

I was able to provide for them,

but I was apart of something.

I love the federal government.

Alright guys come on.

Alright.

Eric.

Coming.

It impacts them because I'm yelling a lot.

You know and I'm just like.

I tell them I say mommy is not getting paid.

So the food we have, we can't eat like

we're in survival mode right now

because we don't know what the president is gonna do.

This shutdown,

we open the government back up for three more weeks,

he's gonna shut it down again, I already know.

And then we're gonna be going through the same thing,

we still haven't got on our backpacks.

It's gonna be on there Monday or Tuesday,

it's Monday I had to get no beats for my phone

that my money is there,

so I'm not working for free it's too much,

it's stressing me out.

You got your coffee Mika?

Oh send me that information again

cause I can't find it in the text,

about the housing assistance.

Okay.

Alright.

It's a lot of stress with my job.

A lot of stress because if they get past that

checkpoint with any type of components,

top of weapons, and they go on that plane,

how am I gonna feel?

I don't believe there's gonna be an end of the shutdown,

I don't believe the shutdown is gonna last for three weeks

and we're gonna go back in the same position

cause he's gonna shut it down again,

I'm quite sure of that.

I believe that.
