There’s a time & pace for everyone

I can’t believe how short this week has been. I am two days early,  but this weekend is going to be a busy one. This week, the weather was all sorts of caddywampus. One day it would rain; the other the wind would be blowing 100 miles an hour. It was a terrible week for the weather,  but that didn’t stop me from getting my exercise in.

Monday was the normal walk.

Tuesday was a walk and run.

Wednesday was arm day (if you can’t tell)

Thursday was leg day

Friday was a walk and run.

I feel great after this week.  It wasn’t all cardio which made it nice to do different things. I’m excited to tackle next week’s schedule. I will also be incorporating the gym in on the fifth.

Other than my workouts,  there has been an exciting occurrence in my life. For those who truly know me,  I binge watch stand-up comedy.  Dane Cook,  Chris Porter,  Margaret Cho,  and….

ILIZA SHLESINGER!!

I am so beyond excited! In all honesty,  Id rather go to a stand-up comedy than a concert any day.

Since this event is important to me,  I decided I’m going to break down and ride in style to the Barrymore Theater in this beast!

Booze, Booze, Booza!

I have successfully completed all my goals for this week – WRONG! I didn’t have any goals; I just went for the bronze. You’re probably wondering why I said bronze.  Well I’d rather get bronze then get gold first.  Now, I’m insane for saying that, right?  Everyone has to start somewhere.  If you start at gold,  what else is there to achieve?

I walked six days this week.  I didn’t count the time or miles, but I put the phone in my waistband, put my earphones in,  and turned on music that scrapes my soul (of what little there is left).

I haven’t listened to Megadeath in awhile,  so when this song came on, it hit me like a ton of bricks!

I craved songs from my former days, and there’s a sentimental attachment to Big Girls Don’t Cry.

This song I had never heard before,  but I instantly fell for this song! K. E. definitely has some of the best songs in the business. The first time I heard about Killswitch Engage was back in my prime when wrestling meant everything to me.

Excluding walking,  I also reduced my phone time by finishing American Horror Story: Hotel.  For those of you who have not had the great privilege to watch American Horror Story: Hotel,  It’s definitely a fucked up treat! People who didn’t care for it very well need to realize that the point the director was trying to get across was that life should be about art.  Art is love. Art can be portrayed in many different ways. American Horror Story: Hotel is an expressive art that not many people will understand, but I definitely recommend to give it a watch.

I’m going to switch gears and just say,  you haven’t lived until you have had a professional massage.  I went to 5 Elements Massage & Wellness Center on Tuesday. This was my first professional massage,  and the only thing I can say is WOW!

I cannot believe the difference it makes-  an absolute total relaxation.

My therapist, Lisa, was absolutely wonderful. For anyone that hasn’t experienced a pure feeling,  be sure to check out 5 Elements Massage & Wellness Center.

My goofy,  relaxed self after the massage.

Before I wrap up this week’s blog post,  here’s the cutest bottle of Seagrams.

Bad Jokes & Roasts Outside of the Pot

What did the fisherman say to the card magician?

“Pick a cod, any cod!”

Wow, that was painful to read, right?

The way you present your “first blog post” determines how basic you really are, right? It’s basically an introduction about how you drive to the local Starbucks everyday, purchase the same kind of Frappuccino, and never tip the barista because you are a real cheap bastard. It’s about telling the world you make jewelry for a living and sell it on Etsy. Do you think we ever hear about the part where your hand cramps only eighteen times a day? I didn’t think so.

Let’s skip the typical “first blog post omg lol” and get straight to the point.

My self- esteem is a rotten apple- it’s only gonna get worse, so you might as well throw it across the street to see if your pitching skills for the MLB have really improved or not. This technology hurts my brain, and I’m tired of always using devices. People need to chill out with the texting, tweeting, looking up to see if we can loose seventeen pounds before Michelle’s wedding tomorrow, snapping… the list could go on! We have way too much virtual interaction with each other.

Okay, quick bad joke break.

Who are cats going to vote for in November?

Hillary Kitten

I said a bunch of words back I was going to get straight to the point, right?

Well, points aren’t straight, they are circular. You know what else is circular? Cycles. Everyday, we have a cycle with our phones. We wake up, check every app on our phone to see who got pregnant, engaged, or got the shit beat out of them within eight hours, set the phone down and have a brain brawl between “should I actually get up and start this day” or “stay in bed all day?” You know what us humans do? We check our phones again! We post on facebook, “Should I get up and start the day or just stay in bed all day?”

DO WE REALLY NEED OTHER PEOPLE TO DETERMINE OUR FATE FOR THE DAY?

No, we don’t, but we do it anyway because it’s a cycle- A POINT.

i R.A.N. – Is neither Iran (the country) or I ran (like running). It simply means DID YOU NOT READ THE NAME OF THE SITE YOU LAZY BUMS?

It’s not a movement or a tribe- It’s a way of change for myself. My path; my destiny is greater than that three a.m. meltdown on the futon with a bag of Lays potato chips and some poppy seed dressing (wut), or missing a meteor hit twenty feet away from where I’m standing because I was reading about Joe and Janelle’s breakup for the eighth time.

We miss out on so much. Well, I am not going to miss out, and neither is FLASH!mv5bmjewmjewotg4ov5bml5banbnxkftztcwndm2njc0mq-_v1_
