Graduation 2017

So I finally graduated on 20th November this year. I know I cannot believe it either. Didn’t graduate with the grade I wanted but it’s okay because I made it to the end of my degree.

Felt like giving up a lot of times because I just felt so stupid and just had a lot of things going on in my life with family and my own health. But that is life I guess…although even my doctor said whoa that’s a lot to deal with. That guy absolute hero he helped me a lot and made me realise I had taken on a lot and wasn’t being silly. Ahhh the student support at my uni well I’m pretty sure without them I would have completely crumbled. I will never be able to thank them enough and my tutors have always been so helpful as well.

Now where do I start with my best friend, who I met at uni and genuinely could not have survived it without her. Abbie you absolute star! Thank you for being the best friend ever and always being there for me and just putting up with me. Who else could I lunch with….no one😂 Loved how we were both so indecisive we would end up going to the same places for lunch. Same places to celebrate end of terms…shout-out to The Alchemist. My uni experience would never have been so good without her and now I am never letting her leave my life….sorry Abbie. It was so so so nice to meet her family and boyfriend on graduation too. They greeted me like they already knew me and it was just so lovely to see how proud they are of Abbie because she is a diamond and I’m so proud of her too.

Obviously ridiculously thankful to my parents for supporting me financially and emotionally and just thankful for everything when it comes to them. They are the best and I am truly blessed. They support me through everything and even though I did not get the grade I wanted they were so proud and that’s all I wanted really. I hope I keep on making them proud and can pay them back for everything in the future.

So happy that my grandad Les could be there on the day and he didn’t fall asleep! Yes his memory is going a bit but he just made the day and I’m so glad he could see me graduate. First in the family to graduate and I hope I made him proud.

Gutted my grandad Brian couldn’t be there but I managed to see him later for a meal. I actually can’t even describe how happy this made me. Got some great family photos as well and it was just the nicest time and meal.

The day was so nice and so much better than I actually imagined it to be. The night before and the early morning I was so nervous but that soon faded when I arrived at the town hall. But when it same to the Albert Hall I was so certain I’d be the one who fell on stage. Because that is just such a me thing. I didn’t and I even got the nicest well done and hug off of Dara (uni executive principal) as she handed me my scroll. She has been such a support as well.

Bit gutted my favourite tutor and a woman I look up to was not there. But Briggy I am so thankful to you, who I am now is a lot to do with you. You helped me a lot and helped my confidence grow loads.

I have to thank a tutor who has been there from the start of 4 years including my diploma year. A guy who has inspired me and pushed me to do my best. Mike Burgess you are amazing and a lot will agree from BIMM Manchester if not the best tutor there you are definitely one of the best. You help and inspire so many students. So thank you!

I have to thank my little hun Lauren as well although I practically never saw her in the 3rd year. We have been each other’s support through essays and just life via Facebook messenger.

I cannot end this without thanking my uni as a whole, they’ve been amazing to me. And my music business class, love you all! Honestly the best people to go through 3 years with. And I need to thank Damian and Ellie for putting on the nicest day. They have also been very very supportive of me and they are just lovely.

Actually I need to thank my two besties as well, we may not see each other a lot but they’re always they’re in the group convo when I need them. Luke and Livs I love you both and thank you for the best nights out over the last 3 years😘

I’ll end this with a video of me being very me😂 I honestly had the best time at uni really and the nicest graduation day. So thank you to everyone in my life and everyone at my uni tutors and fellow students for making it all so amazing💕💕
