OUR INTERVIEW FOR TWINNING STORE

Hi guys! February has been a really busy time for us but we are back!

After a long and stressful winter exams session we decided to spend our free time travelling and visiting our favourite places! But, before telling you about our adventures, we’d love to share with you our interview for twinningstore to let you discover something more about us and our life as twins!

In this interview you’ll learn about our ambitions, how we always make time for some fun, who is the messier twin and much more!

 

WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU DO? HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?

We’re Luca and Marco Montaldo, two Italian twins living in Genova. We’re 21 and we study economics and management at Uni. We have a great passion for travelling, art, photography and fashion! When we’re not busy with University we love spending our time with friends: we really like having relaxing moments with them such as having dinner together (we often invite friends at home) or just going out for a coffee and spend time talking and laughing in the cutest cofee shops. But we are also two party animals and we think there’s always a good reason to party and have fun with friends.

We also try to travel as much as possible because we love meeting new people, new cultures, taste new food and discover new places: we are not just travelers we are more like discoverers and we love becoming part of the cities we visit, we are very curious and excited for everything that’s new! And of course we take lots of pictures (the cool thing is that we both love it so we can always ask to take pictures of each other, we can stop every time we want without annoying each other and, most important of all, none of us start eating before taking some food photos lol)!

We love fashion and we like to create cool outfits (we have different bedrooms and wardrobes but we often borrow each others clothes, but the rule is clear: always ask before taking ahaha). For all these reasons this year we decided to create a blog in order to show our adventures and share our life as twins!

We started using Instagram some years ago with two different personal accounts just as a “game” to post photos of everyday life, with the passing of time our accounts have become bigger and we started to care more and more about our contents. As we often used to post photos together and we noticed that many people showed a lot of interest and were very curious about our “twins life”, we decided to create also a twin account and then the blog.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS?

Luca: it’s really difficult to answer because in this period things are changing a lot! This year we’re graduating and the plan is to start a 2 years master in Milano at Bocconi University. So in five years I see myself somewhere around the world with a good job, my dream would be to work in the fashion industry. I see myself with my twin , it would be great to create something bigger together, like a brand.

Marco: hard question for me too, if I have to imagine my life in 5 years I’d love to see myself in Paris (which is my favourite city) working in the field of arts or fashion which are my biggest passions and enjoying my free time with the people I love. In general I’d love to see myself happy and satisfied of my life with no regrets and new plans and goals to reach for the future.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TWIN MOMENT?

Luca: I think that our best twin moments are summer nights, when we meet up in one of our bedrooms and talk all night long about everything exactly as best friends do!

Marco: I don’t really have a favorite twin moment, I think the best moments are the unplanned ones.. The best moments are the ones where you laugh for no reason and you simply enjoy the little and funny things of life. However I love going dancing and going to parties with my twin cause we both are party animals!

WHEN YOU ARGUE, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU TO BECOME FRIENDS?

In general we don’t argue very often, but when it happens it’s pretty weird because the discussions are always heated but then it takes a very short time to become friends again and it is like nothing ever happened (this is a very good thing that rarely happens when you argue with friends).

DO YOU SEE BEING A TWIN AS A STRENGTH OR WEAKNESS IN BUSINESS?

We strongly believe in the power of cooperation and teamwork so we see being twins mostly as a strenght both in business and in life. This is the reason why we decided to create a unique blog that we run together. What’s more being twins could be considered as an unusual and interesting thing so we like to create an image of us as twins and not only as individuals and we think this is a strenght.

WHAT DO YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT BEING TWINS?

Luca: the cool thing about having a twin is that you’re never alone! It may sound a commonplace but it’s so true and we are happy to call each other best friends as well as twins!

Marco: twins are often so related that they can really understand each others without talking but just looking eye to eye. I don’t know if this is telepathy but sometimes it really feels like we can connect and share thoughts without talking.

WHO IS THE BOSSIEST?

Marco: Definitely me.

Luca: I’m the brain, he is the harm.

WHO IS THE MESSIEST?

Marco: Luca

Luca: Yes, probably it’s me lol

WHO IS MOST ACTIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Marco: Probably me

Luca: We are both insta fanatics

WHO IS THE MORE SHY TWIN?

Marco: Marco. I’m not really shy but I often make Luca do the first step in things that are new.

Luca: What Marco says is true, I think that we complement each other: for example with people I make the first step and then he is really good to develop the relationship.

WHO IS THE MORE ADVENTUROUS TWIN?

Luca and Marco: we both love new adventures, we support each others!

LASTLY, IS THERE AN EVIL TWIN?

Luca and Marco: we are both a bit mischievous but none of us can be considered as evil!
