"I'll see you tomorrow, Jen!"

I call out to my friend as we walk our separate ways. 7th period ended just moments earlier, and I had to walk to my locker.

"Byeee bae!"

She responds with a wink. I giggle, her terms of endearment were sometimes a bit strange.

"Bring your own gloves tomorrow!"

I remind her for the last time. She was my partner for anatomy, the last class of the day, and I was almost out of spare gloves. She'd have to start dissecting those fetal pigs with her bare hands soon.

"Yeah, yeah," she laughs as she turns the corner.

I finally head to my locker.

I walk through the familiar hallways of Stoneflower High, feeling the warm sun on my back and ignoring the incessant chatter around me.

As I neared my destination, I noticed a boy standing in front of my locker, his back faced towards my direction. Upon closer distance, I realized he was twisting my lock, attempting to enter the combination.

"Ummm..excuse me?" I say, a bit pissed off as I tap on his shoulder.

"Hold up, can't you see I'm tryna open this piece of shit?"

Oh hell no.

"Ok yeah, but that's my 'piece of shit' you're busting into. Were you trying to steal my books? Do my homework while you're at it," I snapped. He was annoying.

He turned to face me. Oh my gawd. His dark green eyes stared directly into mine, temporarily freezing my mind of all other thought, besides taking in his features. His brown hair was a bit of a mess, but it somehow complimented the shape of his face, and strong jawline. His perfect eyebrows were raised as if he didn't think he heard me correctly, and I noticed his eyebrow piercing on the right side. His lips were slightly parted, they looked so soft... Wait, why the hell am I thinking about his lips?

"Can't take your eyes off, can you?" The handsome boy smirked.

I disliked his smug, condescending tone. I decide to ignore him as I walk past him to my locker, expertly twisting the combination and opening it. I dump my textbooks inside and shut it. I hope he realizes how stupid he must look.

"Hmmm." I hear him say behind me.

I turn to face him. I expect an apology, or at least an embarrassed expression, but his face looks the least bit concerned. He looks down at a piece of paper I didn't notice he was holding.

"I could have sworn this was the locker. The paper says 421." He runs his hand through his slightly disheveled hair. "Dumbass office people, I swear-"

"Woah bro, calm down," I cut him off. "This is locker 420, 421 is here," I point at the locker next to mine. What a careless mistake.

I smile a bit, I guess he must be new. I decide to forgive him for his rudeness and arrogance moments earlier, and attempt to be friendly.

"I'm Claire, nice to meet you." I extend my arm, offering a handshake.

"Uh huh," the unbelievably gorgeous boy responds, looking at me, and my outstretched arm.

"Ayyy, Andrew!"

Another voice causes him to turn his head around, locating the source of the sound. A tall blonde boy is walking towards us.

"Thinking about joining the team?" He asks Andrew.

Andrew looks at me once more, and walks off with the blonde boy. "Didn't want a locker anyways," I heard him mutter. I allow gravity to place my arm back in a vertical position. So much for being friendly.
