Adrian Pe, a designer and nurse from the Philippines, is creating protective suits for those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. ⠀

Pe says the colorful fabrics, which resemble the characters from children’s show “Teletubbies,” are meant to radiate positivity. ⠀

“It’s the least I can do to help — passion and profession,” Pe tells CNN Philippines.⠀

The suits, which are tailored by seamstresses and medical workers, are made out of non-woven eco-bag fabric, plastic charol and reusable parachute. (Story via @cnnphilippines/@senoritoaidz

“So. I’m a FedEx Express Courier. I deliver to so many types of places everyday. Businesses, houses, apartments, hospitals, you name it, I’ll deliver. This house I just left had this box on the porch. So thoughtful. So caring. In a time when people are panicking and hoarding everything for no really good reason, these people are willingly giving it away. We need waaaaay more of this. … P.S. I didn’t need anything, so I didn’t take anything. That’s how we also need to be.” (Photo: @drtyoda/Instagram)

Officer Michael Rivers

image

A couple weeks ago, Officer Michael Rivers of the Goldsboro Police Department came upon a woman on the side of the road. She wore a shirt that read, “Homeless. The fastest way of becoming a nobody.“ Rivers rolled down his window and said hello and then left, but he couldn’t stop thinking about her. “I turned around and I asked her, ‘Hey, did you eat today?’ And she said, 'No,’” he later told CNN. He came back with sodas and two pizzas, which they ate together on the grass. Unbeknownst to Rivers at this time, a local of Goldsboro, Chris Barnes, took this photo. (via Chris Barnes/Facebook)
