I'm 24 years old and I am a type 1 diabetic, self-taught artist born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I believe without art, the heart has no beat. Without pain, the paint has no meaning. Every time I press my brush to a canvas, I am applying my soul. Pieces of myself are inside each stroke or scribble or smudge, both good and bad. I want my art to inspire people, to make them think, reminisce, or simply just to make someone smile. For as long as I can remember I have had a hunger for the arts. My love and curiosity for art grows every day. And I plan on creating 'til the day I take my last breath. I owe all thanks to my family, my friends and to God. They have seen me at my lowest and still loved me. They have seen me succeed and motivate me to continue doing what I love to do. I wouldn't be the woman I am today without them. It's a very cliche notion but it's nothing less than the absolute truth.
