Marina Solodukho is a dedicated artist who is passionate about animals and grooming. She was born in St.Petersburg, Russia and immigrated to the United States in 1991. However, a few years after coming to the United States, a Bichon Frise became a part of her life; that is when she learned about dogs haircuts and grooming. This was something she had never heard of before. Determined to find out more about this practice, Marina found the world of dog grooming as the perfect vehicle for expressing her artistic creativity, while enabling her to be in  constant contact with animals for whom she has a deep respect- particularly dogs. She attended an arts high school, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of performing arts. Marina successfully completed Nash Academy Grooming School of Arts, went on to teach there for three consecutive years, before accepting a grooming position at Englewood's former ‘Fancy Schmancy’. Subsequently, Marina went on to groom at various Upper East Side and Upper West Side locations in Manhattan- including: Canine Styles, Canine Ranch and A Cut Above.
