Seeing the lights!

We love to go to Temple Square and see the lights at Christmas. We were invited to go with a ward in the single young adult stake. It was just Dave,Emily, Justin and I.

We love seeing all the beautiful lights. They just glow! The nativities are also one of our favorites.

The weather has been very warm. It was the warmest we've ever had seeing the lights.

Melty beads!

Justin has been working on these little "melty" bead projects lately. I think they are called perler beads. The big kids have had a bucket for years. Well, after that long we had to restock a bit. While doing so I found these darling little kits!

All this momma does is run the iron! I love it when my kids want to be creative and make things!

Thankful hands 2014

We have been doing our Thankful Hands family home evening for maybe fifteen years. There have been a couple skipped but not too many!

I hope that when the children are old they will look back at the book of all the years worth of their hands and their words and remember!

Even in the hard times there is much to be thankful for! We are blessed!

Grateful

As I wander around picking up the same shoes, socks and towels I picked up yesterday, I stop short.
I am glad that my "littlest man" still builds.

Antelope Island-

My cousin Jolene works on Antelope Island- she invited us out to help feed the penned buffalo. The round them up from around the massive island once a year. They check them over, weigh them, vaccinate etc. then they release them again.

We had no idea what to expect. We drove around lost first then finally found the pens. Jolene put us in the back of the truck with two huge hay bales and we went into the pens. Justin loved pushing the hay out. He was right at home being a cowboy!!

These are massive animals!
