I am both a cardmaker, papercrafter, and an amateur photographer. I started as a cardmaker back in the summer of 2012. I had just finished my senior year in highschool and Mom and I were discussing what I wanted to do in the future, as in job related. I knew I wasn't comfortable with getting a job outside the home and Mom had already opened an Etsy shop at the beginning of the year to bring in some income for me, and so she asked if I would be interested in doing something related to papercrafting such as cards. But it wasn't until she brought home a cardmaking and papercrafting magazine from Hobby Lobby that I really began to get interested. We went to Hobby Lobby soon after, and I was hooked and haven't been the same since.
About a year later I started adding baby banners and confetti. The baby banners all started when I made the first one for my aunt to take to the hospital with her. And then I made a second one for a girl in our church and that was the beginning of my party line.

Skill Sets
When I first started making cards my main materials were cardstock, scrapbook paper, stickers and occasionally a stamped sentiment. Since I have challenged myself to use more rubber and clear stamps in place of stickers (which I still use sometimes) Participating in different challenges and contests on Instagram and blogs has also helped me learn different styles, techniques and layouts. Now, not only do I love using cardstock, paper, and stickers, but I love using rubber and clear stamps, colored pencils, punches and more recently my cricut machine.

Inspiration
For my cards, my inspiration first started out as scrapbooking/papercrafting magazines and project idea books, and now more recently has become instagram and pinterest along with the magazines and books.
For my banners, most of my inspiration comes from party decorations I see on pinterest and I in turn come up with my own designs.

Shop Story
KraftieKidz first started back in August of 2012 as a joint effort between my brother and. My part was making and selling my cards as well as contributing some of my own photography, and Daniel was selling his artwork as well as his photography.
Since then we have expanded and are branching off from where we started. I started making and selling party supplies along with my cards, and my brother, who took a break from art and photography (except for competition pieces) during his highschool senior year, has now gotten back into photography and art and has taken both to a new level.
Recently Daniel decided that it is now time for him to move on and open his own business. And though I am sad that he has left KraftieKidz I am excited to see what lies ahead for both of us as well as our shops.

Goals?
To continue serving the Lord and always keep him at the forefront of my focus, and to keep trusting him even when life gets hard.
To continue learning and mastering different techniques, to broaden not only my card line but also my party line.
To continue learning all I can about photography. I would love to enroll in the New York Institute for Photography.
And last but not least to continue bettering my shop. I would love to be the best shop owner I can and the Lord allows me to be.
