As a Los Angeles native, I embarked on a journey to become a dancer, and came back with a lot more than I could have imagined. A BA in dance and certification in Holistic Health from San Francisco State, and more than 500 hours certification in Acupressure and Asian Bodywork from the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley. My dance training has given me organic insight into how the body works and moves, as well as applying my own rhythm and style into my bodywork.
My passionate and compassionate bodywork combines the physical and the emotional aspects of life in a Holistic way to provide soothing relief and balance to my clients. So much so, that I naturally progressed into applying Acupressure and Energy Bodywork on pets, in particular dogs. With the inspiration of my own dog, Velcro, I received training and obtained certification in Small Animal Massage, from the Ojai school of Massage. The techniques applied have shown surprising results in treating dogs with injuries as well as helping them with emotional and behavioral healing.
Acupressure and Energy bodywork on both humans and dogs has proven to me that they are not much different from one another. Stress manifests in different ways, and working with them as well as teaching them tools to help themselves as well as apply those techniques on their pets, is the philosophy of what my bodywork is all about.

Fusion Therapy Massage Terms of Service Policy form dated 11/2010
Fusion Therapy Massage blends these Eastern therapies described, together to give the client the most beneficial healing session possible.
Acupressure:
Like Acupuncture, Acupressure parallels the same theory but it is applied with hands instead of needles. It’s an ancient form of healing from Asia that utilizes non-invasive finger pressure on the bodies meridians and points to stimulate the person’s body’s own healing capabilities. The points being pressed help not only relieve physical tension, but they stimulate the chi (universal energy) in the body to bring it into balance.
Zen Shiatsu
Comes from Japan, the word Shiatsu translates to finger (shi) pressure (atsu), and is traditionally performed on a floor mat, with the client fully clothed without oil or lotion. The therapist applies pressure utilizing own body weight with thumbs, hands, palms, elbows, knees, and feet in a meditative rhythmic flow along the client’s body and meridians. The trained therapist can detect the subtle changes in the client’s body throughout the session and determine what to address next.
Thai
A rigorous form of Bodywork that combines yoga stretches with Acupressure that is traditionally performed on a floor mat with the client fully clothed and without oil or lotion. The therapist uses hands, forearms, elbows, knees and feet in a rhythmic and gentle rocking motion, beginning at the client’s feet up to the head, along the meridians and with the intention of energizing and harmonizing.
Energy Work
Subtle Bodywork that utilizes the therapist and the client’s Chi (energy force) to bring the body into balance. Energy work can be applied by placing hands on different areas of the body where there are sensed blockages or where client has injuries, in a static way that directs the energy through the therapist to the client. It can also be applied by placing hands several inches from the client’s body as the therapist works the energy field. Energy work is a therapeutic method of deep purification that releases old traumas and fears that limit our natural healing capabilities.
Chair Massage
A massage chair is used for those situations when bringing a table isn’t conducive such as the office, promotional events, or massage parties, and are shorter duration- lasting anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. The person straddles a chair and places their face in a face cradle while the therapist focuses their attention from the client’s head, arms/hands, to low back areas. The therapist may also apply some assisted chest opening stretches administered while the client is seated.
Although, I am not a purist and practice any one style by itself, I do keep to the integrity of the Bodywork as it was taught to me. Several Eastern therapies are practiced on the floor using a mat and with clothing on, but I have adapted the Bodywork to a massage table and with the use of oil or lotion to assist in not only relaxing but going deeply into muscles to help aid in releasing the built up tension.
I’m mobile, therefore I come to where ever you want/need me to be.
Do I need to prepare for the massage?
You can print and fill out the “intake form” found on the website or in person when we discuss your reasons/goals for the massage as well as medical history.
Eat a light snack prior to massage- don’t be hungry and don’t overeat right before the session.
If you can avoid drinking caffeine, that would be helpful in being able to relax, and not be too mentally and physically stimulated during the session.
Personal hygiene is extremely important for health and sanitation reasons for both of us, so please make sure to shower prior to our session together.
Can I still schedule or receive a massage if I am sick?
No, it is an unpleasant experience for both of us- it will take away from your focus and massage experience, and I don’t want to get sick either. If you get sick between the time you schedule an appointment to the day of your appointment, please reschedule. Rest and drink lots of fluids.
What do I wear during the massage?
You will be wearing just underwear and will be properly draped throughout the session. If at anytime you feel uncomfortable, please voice your concerns and we can also perform the massage clothing on.
Will the massage bepainful?
You should not feel pain during the massage, it should feel good and relaxing, but if you schedule a massage for a specific ailment, injury or soreness, then it is natural to feel some discomfort during the session on those specific areas. That is when it is most important not to hold your breath, but to breathe slow and deep. At any time during the session if the pressure is too much or not enough, please voice your concerns.
How long will the session last?
That is all discussed and set up prior to the massage, but 60-minute, 90-minute, and 2-hour are the norm for a session. If it is your first time receiving a massage, it would be a good idea to schedule a 60-minute, rather than a longer session, so you can feel my touch and the trust can build. If you have received a massage before, depending on what your goals are for the session, opting for a 90-minute or 2-hour session is good if you want more focus on specific areas as well as giving me more time to incorporate passive stretches and recommendations for you to do on your own.
What should I do during the massage?
Relax! This is quality “you” time, so try your hardest to do just that. If you feel compelled to speak during the session, I will converse, but this is mind-body connection time with yourself, and the less talking you do, the more healing and benefit you will receive from the treatment.
How will I feel after the session?
You should feel very relaxed and in overall good spirits. It is normal to feel groggy for a short period of time afterward, but once that wears off, you may experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for several days. You may notice you don’t feel the pain you were experiencing prior to the massage, sometimes it takes a couple days for that part to come. Feeling soreness for a day or so afterward is also normal. Take it easy don’t overdo anything, and most importantly listen to your body, if you still feel tired later in the day or you feel tired earlier than your usual bedtime, go to bed. The toxins are released from your soft tissues during the session, so drinking water and allowing your body to absorb the healing are key.
Do you offer “happy endings?”
I take pride in my work with helping people who come in with physical and emotional pain and in turn giving them the tools to help themselves. The only “happy ending” from the massage will be the happiness you feel that comes with the relief from stress, tension, and pain. This is a completely legit massage, I have the right to refuse anyone or to terminate the session at any time.
Stress manifests in all of us in many different ways, it is about learning how to manage it the most effective way possible for you. Whether it is an hour on a table or 15 minutes in a chair, massage can offer much relief to the person on a physical, mental, and emotional level.
Benefits of Pet Massage
Our pets are not much different than we are as far as how stress manifests, except they cannot tell us what is bothering them. Their lack of emotional well-being will often manifest into a behavioral issue that can become hard to manage and spiral out of control if not addressed. Not only is massage beneficial, but Energy work is more subtle and less invasive for those animals that are shy/timid/aggressive for them to be more receptive to the healing.
