Frequently asked questions

What's in the soap?

Soap is a chemical combination of lye, fat and oil. I don't use tallow or lard in my soaps but I do sometimes use beeswax, honey, pollen and milks which make them not vegan friendly. By the time the chemical process is finished all the lye is completely gone, totally changed from lye and oil into soap by process of saponification, so there's no need to worry about the lye (due to the spread of misinformation I feel i need to clarify this). Occasionally pigments, micas, clay, and plant matter will be in my products as well. Check the information section of the listing for specifics.

Do you make the jewelry?

Yes, each piece of my jewelry is hand made by me. Some items I'm unable to make, like claw clasps and pins and beads, but I do try to do everything myself if possible. I don't facet my own stones though that would be fantastic. I am learning glass work so hopefully I'll be able to add custom lampwork pieces too. Bones/teeth are sourced from roadkill collectors and are typically cleaned beforehand though some pieces I do do myself.
