Halloween Makeup Idea – Glam Mermaid

 Good morning lovelies!

Halloween’s coming up and we are going to be posting makeup ideas all the way until October 31st.

Guess what this one is about?

 We went on a trip to Sally Beauty Supply  to get our mitts on their extremely non-expensive glitter collection.  

If you’re on a budget this Halloween, this might be a good option for you to try.

We were so glad that the weather cooperated, and decided  to snap some shots at the beach before the light disappears.

Getting the occasional head turned for a second look, we shamelessly strutted our way to the beach.

As we couldn’t wait, we just started taking some photos  of our very own Kitsilano mermaid. lol

So yes,  Amal was a mermaid for the day sans the fins…haha!

We used different colours of glitter to mimic the sheen and shine of mermaid scales, nude lips, as well as smoky dark green eyeshadow with green, blue and gold glitter.

For her hair, we added Bombay Hair extensions and curled her hair in big waves with 25 mm wand from Numestyle.

Chic & Sassy Life – Pretty Girl Network Vision Board Workshop

Last Saturday, yours truly attended the Pretty Girl Network Vision Board Workshop.

The event motivated us to think about our life, not only as individuals, but as part of the Chic & Sassy company as well. Creating a vision board helped us clarify what we wanted for our future and strengthened our conviction for starting our business.

Here’s what went down on that fabulous fête.

We enjoyed these fantastic pastries by Victoria Angel Cakes while we worked.

There were guest speakers such as Alexis Castillo of Project Amor and Auret Essetino of Essetino Connexions.

Prizes were given away by Taryn of Taryn Day Artistry, and Heather and Ami of Loyal Coalition.

We were so lucky that we won the prize package from Taryn. However, we want these Pretty Girl Swag jewelry too!

Photo Shoot Session – Toni’s Maternity

Happy Fabulous Friday darlings!

We met Toni at a mutual friend’s bachelorette weekend.

The girls from the bachelorette party loved how Amal did her own makeup, and requested for her to do their makeup as well.

Toni saw Amal’s work on the other girls and asked if she could do her makeup for the wedding.

Of course, Amal said yes.  As this is what we are passionate about!

When Amal heard about her maternity photo shoot, Amal offered her with makeup services for the day.

What better way to start a photo shoot than with with a gorgeous fresh face to help boost your confidence!

Look at that pretty face!  Even though it was so hot, Toni’s makeup stayed in place throughout the day.

From late morning to evening she remained flawless, without any touch-ups!
