My Beautiful Beauty Space

Hey y'all!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's been a while but I'm back to share my latest project with you, My Beauty Area. This is something I've been wanting to do for a while so decided to stop procrastinating  and just do it. I wanted to be sure that I did proper research so that I can be sure to get exactly what I wanted within my budget.

My budget was set for $100 but of course I wanted to come under budget.  Being that I was making this one of my Christmas gifts to myself I decided to ask for gift cards for some of my pieces for my beauty area.  Thanks to Pinterest I was able to get a lot of great ideas on how to build my beauty area on a budget. So here you go!

My vanity table is actually a writing desk from Walmart. Price $39.84 and I used a $20 gift card that my coworker gave me for Christmas which gave me a total of $19.84 that I paid out of pocket.

My vanity mirror came from Target, it's very sturdy and fits my area perfectly. Price $29.99 and I had a $12.00 store credit that I had from a return which gave me $17.99 to pay out of pocket. Other places that I looked at for reasonably priced mirrors were Ross, Walmart & My Local Home Goods store which often gave great deals but just didn't have what I was looking for this time.

My chair for my beauty area is actually an extra chair that we had from our dining room set and the black leather went perfect with my beauty area so my dad put it together for me. So that was Free! Thank God, LOL!

Now on to the accessories for my beauty area. Many of you know I am a very frugal shopper.  I was able to find many of the accessories for my beauty area in the clearance sections of Hobby Lobby, Garden Ridge, Target, Walmart and Tuesday Morning.  Being the arts and crafts geek that I am I was able to find some very inexpensive frames and pictures for my wall and painted them myself.

Many of my makeup and lipstick holders I previously owned but you can pretty much get them anywhere. I have seen them recently at Ross, Home Goods and even at Dollar Tree. Because I like arts and crafts projects, I purchased a wooden letter T, painted it gold and I glued rhinestones on to it for decor for my beauty area. (Letter & rhinestones were $2.16 together on clearance at Hobby Lobby). About a year ago for my birthday my best friend gave me a couple of pieces of art so I purchased frames from the dollar store, got glitter paint for $.33 from Hobby Lobby and painted the frames and they serve as part of my wall decor for my beauty area (Paint & Frames together $2.33). I purchased my rug at Tuesday Morning for about $6.13 a few months back and I love it. I added a few other pieces to my beauty area including a $1.00 candle from Walmart, I put a broken necklace inside of a $1.00 glass jar that I purchased from Hobby Lobby which serves as my make up brush holder, a small magnifying mirror that I already had and a drawer that I had previously had holding my makeup. I purchased my standing bust in the corner for $5.00 from a Macy's that was going out of business and the skirt is mine.

My total out of pocket was... $58.76. Budget met and I'm super happy!

Your decor for your beauty area is really what brings your personality to the space. You can make pieces, purchase items and use pieces that you already own but whatever you do personalize it and make it your own.   Many of my purchased décor for my beauty area were between $1-$2.00.  Be sure to always check the clearance area in stores when looking for items for your beauty area and don't forget stores like Ross, Tuesday Morning,  Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, A.C. Moore, Michaels, Thrift Stores and Dollar Tree.

I have one more piece that I'm working on for my Beauty Area and that's lighting. A couple of things that helped me creating my space, PINTEREST & YOUTUBE. I love them and they are free so utilize them.

My Beauty Area is my space for Beautiful Visions, Beautiful Creativity, Beautiful Me and Everything Beautiful. I will do my makeup here but I will also do some blogging, some vision writing, creative thinking, praying, studying and more.
Make it what you want but be sure to make it Beautiful. Enjoy Creating!!!

And The Journey Continues...
