Queridas y queridos.
Imagino que ya todo el mundo está al tanto de la terrible noticia. Nuestro querido Carlis Flores, ese hombre lleno de vida y de buen humor, hoy se ha ido pedaleando hacia las estrellas a las 21h.
A raíz de los contactos con la familia y los amigos hemos sabido que mañana estará en el Tanatorio de la M30 SALA 27 a partir de las 10:30. A las 20h tendrá lugar la incineración en el cementerio de La Almudena.
Algunos amigos de la bicicleta nos hemos comunicado y os hacemos la siguiente propuesta: cita mañana, lo más amplia posible en el mundo de la bicicleta y de sus amigos, en el Tanatorio M30, a las 18h30, para pasar esa última hora juntos.
Quiénes vayamos en bicicleta podremos luego darnos un último paseo de homenaje a Carlis de vuelta al centro de la ciudad.
Por otra parte, también hoy se ha ido otro amigo de la bicicleta: Juanma, de Bicicrítica (que muchos conoceréis también por la cervecería La Buena Pinta en el mercado de San Fernando, en Lavapiés). Parece ser que desde Bicicritica se está organizando algo para ir en bicicleta desde el mercado, si a alguien le interesa puede intentar buscar la información.

BiTiBi: Bike and Train. The easiest, fastest and healthiest combination to go to work from Bitibi.cat on Vimeo.

Combining Bicycles & Trains in EU Cities
BiTiBi services use the Dutch model as inspiration in promoting the bike-train- bike modal merger over cars and the combination of cars and trains. The project aims to replicate the Dutch system and to solve the typical issues such as lack of parking for bikes at stations; no last mile solution when taking the train; ineffective fare integration or worse, none at all; bike services not corresponding to user needs; no bicycle friendly access to train stations; lack of knowledge about the available services and cultural barriers to use a train-bike-train combination.

THE GOALS

BiTiBi expects to substitute journeys by car with bike-train-bike transport and to increase the modal share of the bicycle for the first and last mile of train journeys in the pilot projects by 2017 - and in the EU by 2020. The project goal is to decrease car use by several million km/year and CO2 emissons byseveral 100 tons/year in the 4 pilot projects. Overall, BiTiBi strives to create cities across Europe that are healthier, more livable and less congested.
