This very cushy stitch pattern creates an interesting texture on both the outer and inner side of the socks. It makes me think of the books on a shelf, and all good books have a story inside. I hope you will enjoy knitting and wearing Book Stash Socks.

Skill level: advanced beginner to intermediate; need to know Judy’s Magic Cast On, magic loop, wrapping stitches, knitting wrapped stitches.
Finished dimensions: Small: foot circumference about 7” (17.5cm), Large: foot circumference about 8” (20 cm)
Suggested Yarn: sock weight yarn, a total of about 3 oz (80 g) or 360 yds (325 m) for Small size, 3.5 oz (100g) or 462 yds (423 m) for Large size. I have used Shirsty Cat Designs Just Sock yarn in Amazed colorway.
Needles: size 1 (2.25 mm) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge. You may also use dpns, distributing each half of the sts on 2 dpns (2 dpns for instep side, and 2 dpns for sole side)
Gauge: 8 st and 12 rows = 1” (2.5 cm) in stockinette
