WELCOME TO 2018!

Happy New Year! This year is definitely off to better resolutions, even though it didn't quite begin as planned. I'm truly blessed to have gone through 2017, even though i didn't achieve all of my goals. But i tell you, there were achievements - more like prep achievement. Like for example; I've always wanted a smooth source of income - but i got a job behind my expectations, and got me to paying my bills, independently. I learnt how to drive a car - Then i drove most Uber Rides (Luckily they let me drive based on compensations and 50% trust that i wouldn't bash their cars), and my boss's Jeep. (7 times already, but the last time was LIT! 'Cause i was alone in the jeep, and i drove safely - Believe me!) Afforded to have pretty cool outfits and shoes in my wardrobe. Spaced out from friends and family - (I've got a room to myself - which enables me to focus deeply on my career and myself!) Ok Hold on - Confessions - But I've stopped alrea

A Note to My Present Self

Dear Julia, You have made me so proud by continuing this blog. By doing so, you are setting your life on the right track, and I believe you will find a stable focus for what you want out of life. I know sometimes you tend to backslide from the point of achieving your goals because you get scared, you get confused, and you deliberately choose to go on a wrong path. You have cared less about what the world thinks about you, and turned against possible opportunities, all because you simply didn't give a f**k. Let me remind you; you are tall, beautiful, talented, confident and motivated. You have a creative mind that could transform your intelligent ideas to a billion revenue. I know you to be a fighter, an overcomer, a progressor and an achiever. But you have been living so far from the real YOU. ...I believe you have changed to a much better person today. Your life as a dancer is probably the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to you. Although your passion and zeal

Redefine Your Purpose in 30 minutes

I Resumed workouts period at the gym on the 28th of November 2016, 5:47pm 'Unintentionally'. Our power transformer was bad, and my phone's battery is never charged to 50%. (tecno camon C8 is a b**ch). So I thought, if I breezed in and out of the gym after 2 hours morning and evening, I could really get to charge my phone. That's how I paid for 2 weeks straight oo, and this is what happened; I stepped on the treadmill at exactly 6:02pm (of course my phone was plugged on), and the big man of the gym placed me on 30minutes. OK, I thought, it shouldn't be so hard. On the 5th speed and 22nd inclination, I remembered how strong and healthy working out makes me feel, and how amazing my legs are when I walk, with some nice body shape and ability within (some tomboy shii in between), and Damn, how sweating makes me glow. You know what I did? I ran on speed 10 for 10minutes, and walked on speed 6 for 15minutes. I almost stopped because of the pain I felt, and the tweaks on t

What Energizes Your Talent?

I was reading this amazing book 'Talent is Never Enough' by John Maxwell, and he made me understand the importance of Passion in any thing that we do. 'You can not do anything whole heartedly if you're not interested.' This clearly proves that, 2 out of 50 persons love what they do,  and the rest spend more time complaining. It's hard to get to where you want to be,  but to start now,  you will need a lot of Passion to drive your consistency and perseverance through your mission. My life as a dancer requires passion and strength to carry on.  Every day I practice, I have challenges, I have obstacles but what keeps me moving is my passion.

Passion Is Key

I don't get bored being a dancer, in fact, I always look up to a new week starting with monday. So here's my thought for today...
