Hello! My name is Michaila, but I also go by Mich (it should be pronounced "mick" but I understand if your mind forces you to read it as "mitch"). I just graduated from high school and am now pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at an online college. I enjoy reading, learning languages, improving my graphic design skills, and lettering! I have always admired great lettering, even from a young age. In elementary school, I had a friend with beautiful handwriting. I was so jealous of it that I made a notebook solely dedicated to practicing good handwriting. Needless to say, that love has grown and lettering has become one of my passions. It can be a truly beautiful form of art and that is exactly what we strive to do through overlxyed; make art.
About
We are overlxyed. We began in 2014 as a small group of girls that shared a passion for design and hand lettering. We currently hand letter quotes for our Instagram where people use them on their graphics. This is the next step of our journey.

Hello! My name is Soph, I'm 18 and I'm from a small town in England.
I really enjoy drawing and have done since I was a little kid; over the past few years lettering/typography has become an interest of mine and that's why I enjoy being a part of overlxyed so much.
Nowadays school work tends to get in the way of my time for drawing because I'm always studying. Currently I study geography and biology with the hopes of becoming a marine biologist and someday cleaning our oceans.

Hi, I’m Kait!
Design nerd, brush pen enthusiast, and hoarder of quotes.
I’m currently a student/freelance Graphic Designer. I design because I love the feeling I get when I create something new. Lettering is a branch off of that and I’ve been so thrilled to discover the composition and shapes that come from letters.
I’ve been designing and working with clients for about three years now. From a young age I wanted to be an artist but I’ve never been very good with a paintbrush or pencil so I’d all but given up on that dream. It was three years ago I discovered that there was more to art than just drawing and painting. That’s when I found design and eventually lettering.

Overlxyed has been such a big part of my life for the past year. I was one of the first to help lift overlxyed off the ground and I’m so proud to see how far it’s come. Here’s to another five more years lettering with these girls!

Hi! I'm Jannessa, but I usually go by Ness because Jannessa is one heck of a long name. It also works nicely as an online alter-ego type thing. I'm a schoolgirl from Sydney, Australia with a passion for books, hand-lettering and God, so my handwritten quotes tend to be either Bible verses or quotes from some of my other favourite books, including Harry Potter, Divergent and the Hunger Games. My overlays and designs are usually created with a Sharpie or a nice felt-tip pen but sometimes I like to mix it up a bit! I really enjoy designing and doodling things, so hand-lettering was something that I naturally loved and I couldn't be more excited to work with the overlxyed girls on something like this.
