Located on Gulf Shores, Alabama, the building sits on the Mobile Bay side of the Fort Morgan Peninsula and is situated in a very critical place. Constantly being hit by sea mist and tropical storms, for this project to be successful, it is essential to integrate environmental efficiency into the design. A Botanical Research Facility and Conservatory can help the region by restoring some of the fragile ecosystems. And by collaborating with the existing wildlife sanctuaries nearby, curiosity will spark an interest for environmental conservancy through one on one interactions with nature.

 

The mission is to create a space that will not only be sustainable but one that will interact with its environment. And with its success, it will give rise to others, giving them the opportunity to bloom.
