There are saying. When in Rome, act like Romans. This trip in Seoul, no guide, but we got around with subways, buses and occasional taxi ride with this T money. So convenient.

Baby Ear Muff

Hi Everyone! The star focus on today’s blog would be my uber cute nephew! This came to mind because this is the second overseas trip and the overwhelming response on his headphone like ear muffs.

My sister bought the ear muff when he was just three months old. He was born in Australia and had to travel to Indonesia because that’s where he would permanently reside, but in the mean time, he usually travel back and forth with my sister, hence the need of ear muff due to his frequent travel.

This ear muff are quite comfortable and it is good to block the airplane noise. As you can see, it’s great for us as well to have a quiet journey where the baby is stress free.

They come in different colour strap. We got the blue checker band and below is the pink polkadot band, because a friend of mine wanted to have one for her baby girl.

I would love to share the links with all of you, but my sister told me that she ordered them from Ebay, and both of them were ordered from different sellers. For the recent purchase, it costs us AUD 36.90.

Fail Art

Hi Everyone! It has been a long absence since my last post. I had a bit of a problem on deciding what to post. I started this blog, with the notion of posting on the good things. Then I realised, it is called ‘Life Unfold’, and in life, things don’t always go the way you wanted. So, today I will share with you on a few of my nail art postings where I had planned to post but did not, because I thought it was not good enough.

The Black and Gold combination was an inspiration from my friend back in Indonesia. Her nails were done at M.Lee in Batam, Indonesia. A nail salon that I usually visit when I am back to Batam. But in Sydney, I like to use my limited creativity and do my own nail art myself.

To get the Black and Gold look, I used the following nail polish:

Butter London Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat and Hardwear P.D. Quick Topcoat.
Butter London Base and Top Coats

Etude House #5 Princess Mary Juicycocktail Gradation Nails.
#5 Princess Mary Etude House

SkinFood BW705 Black Nail Polish.

Butter London Matte Finish Shine Free Topcoat.

The reason why I call this ‘Fail Art’, Please have a look at the perfect nail art that gave me the inspiration and my own creation.

As you can see, I did not get the look I was inspired with, but I did not give up. I tried something else, to get another look. I used:

Butter London Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat, Hardwear P.D. Quick Topcoat and Rosie Lee Pink Glitters Nail Polish. IMG_0744[1]The FaceShop BR802 Nude Nail Polish.BR802 The Faceshop

And Voila! Another creation I was not satisfied with.

But don’t get me wrong, I love all my nail polish that I mix and match them! The only problem was my imagination and result just don’t get along and it turns out a little bit different. In conclusion, Life is not always perfect, as long as you never give up and it makes you happy, that’s what matter the most. 🙂

LV Nightmare

D's LV collections

The above lovely Louis Vuitton collections were stolen! This happened last week, they break into her home, Eastern Suburb Sydney, Australia, where she resides. She was devastated, because many more precious items were stolen from her residential area. So, what is my purpose on sharing this? I had a special request. She understand that it is by far a long shot of finding what had been stolen. Nevertheless, it doesn’t hurt to try and give it a shot.

The request was to help her find one particular Louis Vuitton bag. Which is the Louis Vuitton Neverfull with the custom design D.N.D in yellow and white strips. If any of you see this bag on the street (in Australia) or on the internet (i.e. Ebay), please write a comment below. It would be even better to contact the police as well.

After what happen to my friend, I would like to share this excerpt from Tasmania Police website. I know its common sense, but its good to read through and be cautious.

Residential Burglary Prevention

Residential Burglaries

Burglary and theft from residential premises impose a significant cost upon the community. The experience of being burgled can be a very traumatic one for victims who may be left feeling angry, violated and unsafe in their own home. Most burglaries occur during daylight hours, when homes are often vacant. However, it is essential to ensure that your home is secure at all times, day and night.

  • Reducing the Risk of Burglary The risk of burglary can be reduced. Research has shown that security devices such as locks and burglar alarms are effective in reducing the risk of burglary, and that the risk of burglary is lower in neighbourhoods where the residents have a strong sense of community and look out for each other.  Many burglaries occur when an offender discovers an open window or unlocked door, and takes the opportunity to enter the home and steal cash or other items of value. Making sure that your home and other buildings (e.g. garage/garden shed) are always secure is an effective way to reduce the likelihood that opportunistic burglars will see your home as an easy target.  A number of strategies which may help to prevent your home being burgled are suggested in this brochure. In addition to security measures, simple behavioural changes, such as leaving a light on when you go out to make your house look occupied, can be an effective deterrent to would- be burglars.
  • Repeat Burglaries Unfortunately, once you have been burgled there is a very real possibility that you could be burgled again, and this could occur within a relatively short period of time. the same burglar/s who committed the initial burglary, or their associate/s, may be responsible for the repeat burglary.  If you have been burgled recently and you think it is possible that your residence may be vulnerable to a repeat burglary for any of the reasons outlined above, it is strongly recommended that you address any security shortfalls that may leave your home and garage/shed vulnerable to burglary.  Reasons for a repeat burglary can include the following:
    • Burglars know there are additional items of value in a home and view it as an easy target because they cannot see any obvious improvements in the security of the home.
    • Burglars may try to burgle a home again within 4 – 6 weeks of the first burglary because they think that the goods previously stolen will have been replaced through insurance.
    • Burglars may return because they now have a buyer for some particular item they saw on the first occasion.
    • Burglars return to burgle other residential buildings (e.g. if the garden shed was broken into on the first occasion, the home may be burgled on a return visit).
    • Burglars acting independently of each other may consider the house to be an attractive target on separate occasions. For example a house which is often empty, has poor security and is located in an isolated area is likely to be an attractive target to most burglars.

Typhoon Haiyan

On November 8, 2013. One of the world’s most powerful typhoons struck the Philippines. Typhoon Haiyan, known as Yolanda in the Philippines, has left thousands dead and caused severe destruction across the Philippines. Thousands of houses, establishments, roads, crops and more were destroyed. An estimated 9.5 million people were affected by this calamity. Reports predicted more than 10,000 people died. The extent of damage caused by Typhoon Haiyan, relief and rescue efforts have been more than challenging.

These are just a few of the photos I gathered from the internet.

As you can see from the images above. I heard the news, I just could not leave it alone, it’s hard to just look the other way. I need to share this with all of you. The Philippines need your help! You can make a difference. Below are sites where you can help. I know there are a lot of scammers out there, But below links are taken from the ABC News site. This should be reliable.
