Hi all, its been a while, how are you? What better way to dive back into creating content on my poor neglected little beauty blog than talking about LE holiday releases for 2016!? Mainly from my fave place to put my hard earned dollars = Mecca Maxima!
There is something special about receiving a parcel, present or purchasing something in store from Mecca at this time of year and that is THE PACKAGING! and haven't they hit it out of the park (once again) this year?
This year my holiday release purchases were mainly from one brand available at Mecca, no other than Too Faced Cosmetics.
Who could resist this gorgeous "Christmas In New York" themed holiday collection? Not me, not I!
'Christmas in New York - Grand Hotel Cafe - By Too Faced Cosmetics '
Lets start with the big one and by far my fave purchase of the holiday season so far! I swooned over pictures of the 'Le Grande Chateu' in 2015's christmas releases and had been anticipating the coming releases for 2016 after seeing previews online from the brand and resolved that this year I would get my hands on this delightful and Limited Edition gift.

she didn't get here without a fuss. I ordered online with mecca maxima on the day of release and my parcel arrived the very next day completely smashed. THANK GOODNESS for Mecca's amazing customer service and returns policy! I had a replacement in my hands within 3 business days. PHEW!
Inside the 'Grand Hotel Cafe' is a deluxe sample of the famous 'Better Than Sex Mascara', x3 gorgeous holiday themed, holiday scented eyeshadow palettes, each containing 6 new shades, x2 blushes in bigger pans and x1 bronzer also in a bigger pan.
'Gingerbread Cookie Palette:' traditional too faced chocolate / cocoa scent seems to be a mix of neutral to warm toned shades.
'Peppermint Mocha Palette :' I had such high hopes for this palette, I am obsessed with mint but this little cutie only has an ever so slight peppermint / candy cane scent.
A lovely mix of cool to neutral tones right up my alley.. think too faced chocolate bon bons.
'Eggnog Latte Palette :' I was pleasantly surprised by this palette I didn't expect it to be my fave of the lot but it is! I have never tried eggnog so don't know what it would actually smell like but this palette has a beautiful vanilla latte / cinnamon spice scent that I adore!
I plan on sharing a more detailed post all about the 'Too Faced Grand Hotel Cafe' with some swatches once I have had a chance to properly use the palettes so stay tuned if you're interested!
The 'Too Faced - Let It Glow - Highlight & Blush Kit" contains x3 super cute mini's candlelight glow highlight, snow bunny bronzer and blush. highlight is my current addiction and I have been wanting to try this one from too faced for quite some time, what better way than with an assortment of mini's!?
"Too Faced Cosmetics - Naughty Kisses & Sweet Cheeks - Gift Pack"
I picked up the "Melted Kisses & Sweet Cheeks" gift pack as part of Too Faced Cosmetics holiday releases last year and loved it! a great way to experience a relatively new brand to me at that time! (and it started my love for too faced melted lipsticks just quietly lol) so I didn't hesitate to pick up this years version. I must say I have been apprehensively wanting to try the "lip injection" lip glosses but have not been game enough yet!
The kit itself contains x3 little gift boxes you can give to your nearest and dearest as stocking stuffers if you wish! each little box contains a mini love flush blush and a mini lip injection gloss.
