Hi everyone - sorry I basically forgot to update this blog again for basically the last 6 months. I did get featured on Tested however talking about Ma.K so that was really cool! I’ll have some photos of recent builds coming soon, I promise!

Origin Guncannon + “Gundam Man”
The Gundam Man is made from a Love Love Garden Ma.K resin figure with leftover parts added to make him look like he is wearing armor styled after Gundam. Experimented a bit with painting with Vallejo Acrylics, but it turns out I still enjoy lacquers more.

EX MODEL Magella Attack
Ahh.. good old EX Model - extremely detailed but so expensive and a bit fiddly when it comes to the parts layout. Still the only way to get certain subjects in styrene, and this Magella looks way better than the old 80s Magella attack kit which didn’t even have a clear part for the turret canopy (which brings to mind how absolutely stupid a tank with a glass canopy on the turret looks). Painted with Gaia Notes lacquers and ready to weather!
Finished! Maschinen Krieger Wave 1/20 Konrad
I actually finished this kit in 2018, but did not get a chance to photograph it until now. I really like how the Wave kit adds the bulbous windshield instead of the normal sloping one like the Nitto kit had - it really accentuates the added bulk from the “hump” on the engine cover.
Painted with Gaianotes paints, and the small vignette base is made from cork, some model railroad scenery, and a resin cast section of wall from a local miniatures shop.

Bandai 1/12 Scale K2SO
Building this for a friend who is a big Star Wars collector. Neat little kit, decided to try a more retro color scheme on this one.
Planning my first major Gunpla build of 2019 - going to revisit making a large scale diorama again with multiple kits instead of the vignettes and single bases I have been doing. HGUC Revive Mk II and HGUC Barzam, should be interesting!

Inspired by Kazuhisa Kondo’s Revival of Zeon manga, a big thanks to all the members from our local Bay Area modeling group for donating junk parts for this kitbash to happen. Lots of dry-fitting and sanding, but most of the parts went together fairly easily.

COMPLETED
AFS Type. CD Polar Bear Wave 1/20 Kit
I finished this kit last year actually but I must have forgotten to post it here. This is my first AFS type kit with a clear window (having already built the Archelon. Painted with a mix of Tamiya Acrylics and Mr. Hobby lacquers. This was my first time painting an ethnic figure bust. Base made with calcium carbonate powder for the snow and some model railroad store foliage. Thanks for looking and sorry for the lack of updates recently.
Work in progress pics on this Makoto Kobayashi inspired Qubeley. The Revive HG Qubeley was released and I still had the old kit in the stash so I decided to go full on and modify the old kit with parts from some spare Five Star Stories and armor kits.
