Amy Parker Las Vegas Paragliding Accident

My sister, Amy Parker (Pruss), has suffered severe injuries in a freak paragliding accident this weekend.
Amy is a beloved tattoo artist and passionate member of the climbing and paragliding communities in Las Vegas. She is an experienced and licensed paragliding pilot with years of experience in a typically safer-than-driving sport known to boost mental health and wellbeing. She is also a new wife and mom to her husband, Rex, sons Chandler and Cole, and her three month old infant daughter, Ava. This was only Amy's second time getting to paraglide again since getting pregnant and giving birth.
Amy crashed into a rocky hillside shortly after takeoff and is currently being stabilized at UMC in Las Vegas. What we know so far is that Amy has sustained fractures to her vertebra, ribs, legs, both ankles, hip, and pelvis, and she has a small brain bleed which is so far not a cause for concern as she is alert and talking. She will be undergoing a series of surgeries in the coming days. She will need a preliminary spinal surgery, hip surgery to place a rod and remove bone fragment and stop internal bleeding, ankle surgery to place a rod, and another spinal surgery to place two titanium rods.
This is what we know so far, and we will update as we know more. Amy has health coverage through her husband Rex's insurance from the cement mason's union, but we don't know yet what will be covered from this accident. This fundraiser will go to support any medical and rehabilitation costs not covered by her insurance, and help pay for living expenses while Amy is out of work. Our family is rallying around Amy and Rex to help with childcare, but it will also provide childcare assistance for their infant daughter Ava over the months ahead.
