As long as there is sunlight coming through the window, someone to look forward to in a day, the assurance that it is okay to be confused and to not know the answers right away, AND good music, the flame of my soul will not die out. But I have to keep fanning it so that it burns all throughout the night, and until the next day, still bright enough to give warmth back to the people who have been trying to see what is there for a long time now.

“I am trying to see things in perspective. My dog wants a bite of my peanut butter chocolate chip bagel. I know she cannot have this, because chocolate makes dogs very sick. My dog does not understand this. She pouts and wraps herself around my leg like a scarf and purrs and tries to convince me to give her just a tiny bit. When I do not give in, she eventually gives up and lays in the corner, under the piano, drooping and sad. I hope the universe has my best interest in mind like I have my dog’s. When I want something with my whole being, and the universe withholds it from me, I hope the universe thinks to herself: “Silly girl. She thinks this is what she wants, but she does not understand how it will hurt.”

This is so interesting. It entirely expresses how I started to treat whatever happens to me in life. It is quite a philosophical approach to things, but makes a lot of sense in my opinion.

So many things didn't happen for me even though I tried really hard and wanted them so badly, whereas other happen just without me putting any effort in them. Life is funny that way. But after a while I started understanding that it is better that way.

Some things just shouldn't happen. I reckon universe or god is looking out for me in that way.
