We have always been fans of North Italia. From San Diego, Orange, to Los Angeles County, we consider the brand to be a great place to dine for a special occasion.
Had some last minute shopping to do on Christmas Eve, and almost forgot to grab lunch. Though it was really crowded inside, there was no wait for seats. It took awhile for a waiter to greet us, but once he did, all was well.
Ordered the meatballs and grilled bread to start, plus 1 Short Rib Lumache and my fave Bolognese. All apps and both entrees were incredible as usual, and my husband and I enjoyed our holiday lunch date.
Since we come to Del Amo Fashion Center often, I'm sure we'll be eating here again, hopefully sooner than later! Just hope this restaurant stays as North Italia and some other restaurant doesn't take over.

Hi Chiante, thank you for your review. We're so happy you and your husband enjoyed our Grilled Bread & Good Olive Oil, Italian Meatballs, Braised Short Rib Lumache, and Bolognese. We hope to see you both again soon.
I wish we had Apollonia's in Anaheim or anywhere in Orange County. Since we were in the area, I wanted to see what all the social media buzz was about. We popped up here one day, 1 hour before their dinner service actually opened, and there was already a handful of people starting to line up 15-20 mins before.
Once they opened, we were 4th line. Placed our order for a few slices, and I really can't remember, but I feel like I spent almost $30 on the 3 slices combined. Or maybe $25-$30. Had to wait another 20 mins or so for these 3 slices, even though I saw slices readily available to grab right in front of me behind the glass. Did they make our individual slices fresh? I have no idea, all I know, is when we finally got our hands on these thick-packed slices, they were hot, bursting with powerful toppings, seasonings, cheese and sauce, it was worth the price and wait.
I did see one employee grabbing the slices with their hands and no gloves. Not sure what the protocol
is on that or if they all handle the pizza that way. Still I didn't let it deter me for some reason, I was determined to eat Apollonia's. It was quite the fulfilling experience. This place is a must for us!
Bring Apollonia's to the OC please!
Are there independent coffee shops in the city of San Bernardino, other than the chains (you know which main one I'm referring to)? Yes! Last May, we found SNACKS and we were so glad we did. It's kind of randomly placed, but easy to find.
We needed an evening pick-me-up before heading back to the OC. Well, I drink decaf only, and SNACKS easily accommodated my request. I had an iced vanilla latte, and my husband ordered a blended caffeinated coffee beverage. Both drinks served us right, and had unique coffee flavors unlike your typical coffee chain. I like their lounge-like decor as well.
Whenever we visit San Bernardino, I'll make it a point to see if SNACKS is open. If you're looking for a cool, quaint, coffee-hang-out-spot, head over to SNACKS!
Is this concept of getting some food right outside of the shoe store genius? I feel like it is. It's not exotic or common street vendor food, it's not an exact replica of Costco's offerings, and it's not your typical fast food. To me, it is, its own. Not sure if I conveyed my thoughts well, but hopefully you understand.
Was coming from a mall nearby, when I wanted something new but familiar. The reviews were high and decent (at the time) for the Skechers Food Spot, so why not? Next to the freeway, and easy to find! Had no difficulty finding parking, but it was a weekend and parking spaces filled up quick.
Ordering was a breeze, and the menu has a variety of simple items such as burgers, hot dogs, salads, fries, pizza, sandwiches, and some desserts. No frills. But you can spruce up your order however you like (I mean this by mixing and matching or throwing sauces/condiments on whatever).
The double cheeseburgers were juicy and full of flavor thanks to the secret sauce. The Nathan's hot dog was good, and the pizzas were cheesy, and (almost Costco like) greasy. The main event though, 20 oz fountain drinks for $1, who could pass this up? Prices are superb, not sure if they are the same since last August 2023 though.
All I know, is we spent $24 on food for 2 people, and we were quite the happy campers! We need one of these in the OC!!!!
Who's driving all the way to Panorama City from Anaheim for some AYCE Filipino food? We are, that is, my husband and I. It's no lie, we made our way to Bamboo Bistro, courtesy of Tik Tok, and I will gleefully say, we have been a few times now.
There has never been a long line, and we have visited both morning and mid day. The lady at the register is always friendly and the owner greeted us after our first time too!
The buffet options vary depending on whether it is breakfast or lunch, but if you're open enough, try both sessions (on separate days of course, or go there right as breakfast is ending, and lunch is beginning). Take your pick of longanisa, tocino, lechon, fried eggs, pancit, garlic rice, adobo, and more. Many tasty things to try here. A free fountain drink comes with your meal, or opt for basic water. Desserts are limited at the end of the buffet.
Bamboo Bistro has been steadily packed each time we came, so I can tell they have been doing well for years. We were newbies to their AYCE brunches, but that's okay better late than never, I suppose. So far we have enjoyed every bite. Cheers to BB in PC!
