Greatness Requires Patience:

Every. Single. Day. I have a thought that goes through my head…

“Am I doing enough?”

And almost everyday I think “no.” I could be working 18 hours a day and learning this or that and I feel as if I can never ever do enough. It’s becoming a disease, I feel as if on my strong days it’s a fire and I can use it to keep going and going but on the other hand when I get wore out and finally try to relax it eats away at me.

Will I ever be able to relax? Will I ever do enough in a day?

I don’t know the answers to those questions. I truly wish I did. But I think that those questions are fueled by fear. A fear that is deep down inside of me and is based off of failure. I. REFUSE. To. Fail.

I have this chip on my shoulder from God knows where that just makes me hate failure and disappointing others with a passion.

If anyone else is out there and is struggling with something similar let me just tell you this. It’s something I constantly try to remind myself of and it’s that…

Greatness requires patience.

If you don’t have patience you will overwhelm yourself and try to do it all in a day and the fact of the matter is that you just simply can’t.
As the saying goes… “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”

Patience allows you to not become frustrated which is key.

Frustration leads to quitting.

Whatever you’re doing or working towards DO. NOT. QUIT. All you have to do is simply stay patient.
