Gerard Collette’s lifelong passion for tattoos grew from his early love of art.
In fact, long before his first apprenticeships under Dave Orlanski and Colonel W. Todd in Long Beach, Gerard was already tattooing at home by the time he was 16 years old, having learned how to stick and poke from his punker sister in the punk rock days of the early 80’s.

Wanting to take his almost 30 years of experience tattooing around the world and make something special, Gerard founded Hermosa Ink.

I am a Los Angeles native that started in the tattoo industry at the age of 26. I apprenticed at Artistic Element under Kali Boy but learned a lot from everyone there. I then worked at Skanvas Tattoo for close to 3 years before starting here at Hermosa. I like metal, black and grey tattoos let’s party!!!
