We work to transform yards and neighborhoods into sustainable gardens and wildlife habitats.
We share methods of restoring the beneficial pyramid of life in gardens and on farms so the land can thrive without harmful chemicals.
We teach ways to live zero-waste, plastic-free and plant-based.
We utilize water catchment and gray water systems with native and drought-tolerant plants to conserve our world’s greatest resource.
We help integrate renewable energy into homes and communities.
We volunteer at beach, forest and roadside cleanups.
We listen to and learn Indigenous wisdom about living in harmony with Mother Earth.
We research methods for preserving vulnerable, threatened and endangered species.

OUR art
We are the artists behind ccMixter.org, a global community of conscious creators who have intellectual leanings toward science. We’re inclusive, diverse and positive. We create Songs with Whalesounds, Music for Healing and tracks that are Free to Share. When we’re not creating sonic art about planetary activism we’re out in the garden, in our communities and in nature - doing the work we sing about.
AWAKE’s Brentwood Urban Farm in Los Angeles has 20 organic garden beds, 22 fruit trees, rain catchment and graywater systems, solar panels, and xeriscaping. The Farm works with the City Council to teach sustainability in the urban community.
