But I'm glad to say that that is not the case. Wahlberg certainly has his moments in the film but by no means is the hero. From what I know about the events, aside from maybe a few extra explosions, they did a good job depicting the timeline of when things went down and the heroes who stepped up to help catch those bastards. It also did a good job portraying how the tragic events only made the Boston community closer.
So if you were expecting Wahlberg to turn this into a sci-fi themed sequel to Shooter where he snipes the terrorists from the top of the green monster decked out in cammo before going back in time to stop the 9/11 attacks I can assure you it's not. No matter what you think of the timing of the release, or Wahlberg, give this movie a watch.
