My friend Rebecca Lily has released a new set of presets (Pro Set VI) for Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw. These are a fabulous new addition to her pre-existing lineup of products and are worth checking out. She asked me to contribute some photos to showcase her work, and I shared the following four. Earlier this year, I was in Utah and went out to make photos of its majestic landscapes along with photographer & artist @annemarievivienne who was educated in the ways of landscape photography by her grandfather. She was gracious enough to show me some super little locations. I have not shared any photos because I was struggling with how to edit pictures with such bright, bold colors. It has was hard to reconcile those colors with my desire for near monochromatic landscapes. I decide to wait and let the image come to me. I have created two renditions of the same image, one in color, the other in B&W (which in turn is based on the B&W jpeg created in-camera.) Even if I have to borrow my friend Chris Michael’s Leica M9 camera and even if I have to use a 35mm Ssummilux lens.
