For those of you that are depressed and upset about where you are today with the decisions you've made in the past, I've got something to tell you. See these weights I'm holding in my hands? Picture these weights as your past and something that's been holding you down from achieving everything you want in your life. The day you finally LET GO of the decisions you made that have led you to where you are now, is the day you start moving forward. There is no reason to look back, because you can't drive forward looking in the rear view mirror.
I can't stress to you all enough that It's OK to have a past filled with failure. I can accept failure, but I CANNOT accept not trying. It's important to remember those failures so that they are not repeated. However, the best thing you can do is just tell yourself "I have made certain decisions in my life, I'm still here, I'm still breathing, and I have an opportunity to make an impact on the future." I see SO MANY people just "stuck" in the past, refusing to forgive themselves, refusing to let go, if you're one of those people just know that you have every opportunity to make better and healthier decisions starting tomorrow. It's not gonna be easy, it's actually going to be one of the hardest things you've ever had to do. But at the end of the day, there is no reason to keep holding onto something that's holding you back from achieving your goals. Take it from me, I used to hold onto my failures, but the day I picked my head up and told myself "Devin, your failures are your lessons, they are important lessons in shaping who you are, but they do NOT define who you are. From this point forward you are not your past, you are everything you want to be in the future." Trust me, if you can let go, your life will change immediately.

Just another gorgeous day in California, decided to take the Ducati to lunch at the Habit today. I can't get enough of this damn burger place. After this, it's off to Snow Station!
Always repping my #Shredz Gear everywhere I go. Some of you wanna know how Shredz is different from other companies. It's a company that ACTUALLY CARES about it's Athletes and employees. There are a lot of supplement brands out there, but none of them value people as much as Shredz. @Arvinsworld hand selects his athletes and he's ALWAYS on point when it comes to taking care of those who give our company 100% effort every single day.
As Shredz Athletes we don't hate on other people, we build others up, and were a family. The day Arvin signed me he told me "Devin if you give US 100%, and represent this company with integrity and class, your future will be bright, and I will never let you fail." That's not a boss, that's a role model, a mentor, and father figure. NO other company has what we have, because they don't have people like Arvin at the top. Truth.

Two years ago I told myself that I would do whatever it took to get in the driver seat of a GTR. I Knew it wouldn't be easy, but I made it happen with hard work. Today @ChadMcBain and I went and looked at an R8 for him, and I couldn't help but notice this Aventador in the showroom. The guys at the dealership looked at me like I was crazy. They had this look like "Here's a 24 year old kid in shorts with a SnapBack and tattoos, what's he doing in here looking at a Lambo?" I told the guy in sales "Give me 12 months, I'll be back in here to grab an Aventador from you." He laughed and said "Yeah we'll see about that!" The funny thing is, I'm gonna show up in 12 months and write him a check. See here's the thing, you have to dream big, you have to look at the most extravagant things in life and say "Why not me? What's stopping me?" The only thing preventing YOU from achieving what YOU want, is YOURSELF. I realized a few years ago that a lot of people talk, not a lot of people actually work. Take me as an example, I went from serving tables to hitting the weights for a living. How did I do that? Belief in myself.
"Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." - George Bernard Shaw
Some of you look in the mirror every morning and are happy with what you see, which is awesome and extremely rare, be proud of what you've accomplished. Some of you may not like what you see in the mirror and want to do everything you can to change that. The first step to changing something in your life, is to change your attitude about it.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen people take that first step into a healthier lifestyle and then just give up after a week because they didn't see results. Results come to those who are persistent, not those who make excuses. Remember that in order to build the body you want, your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same.
double tap if you agree!
This is quite simple actually, I think most of us have had that one relationship that we wish things could have gone differently. Even though there was pain and suffering, it's important to understand that everything happens for a reason. The best revenge you could ever have is self improvement. Don't worry about what your ex is doing, or who they are dating. Worry about YOU and what you're doing to build a better future. Don't ever lower your standards and sacrifice for someone else, know your worth and what you bring to any relationship, if they don't know what it takes to build an empire, don't share your throne with them. Also, instead of looking for "THE ONE" you should focus on being "THE ONE" that YOU would want to find someday, if you do that, you'll be in good shape, I promise. #DevinPhysiqueHasYouCovered

Every single one of you is meant for something great, and something that you would have a hard time believing is actually your destiny. If settling for average and building someone else's dream in the process is truly what you want in life then by all means, go for it. But if building your own dream and chasing the greatness that you're meant for is what you really want, then here's how it's done. a year and a half ago I had a $100 to my name, dead serious. I was living in an apartment with @chadmcbain and we both would work our asses off everyday just to make ends meet. I knew two things, 1) this wasn't going to last forever 2) I knew that someday I would be get out of my financial stresses and be able to support my mother and two sisters.
No matter how tough my life was a year and a half ago, I continued to work, not just to pay bills, but work on myself. When I lived in Newport Beach, EVERYONE else would be partying and drinking. But after working all day at the restaurant, I stayed in, prepped my meals, and hit the weights. Because I knew, that if I fell for that lifestyle, I would never reach my full potential. It was tough, but everyday I made decisions that would positively affect my future. I cut out people that didn't build me up, and I stuck to my goals. So many people will tell you that you aren't good enough, that you can't achieve what you really want, but at the end of the day, those people do not matter. Because if you can give YOURSELF 100%, and block out the negativity, you will reach goals that you never thought possible.
There is no limit to what you can achieve, if you want something you've never had, you have to be willing to do something you've never done. It's that simple. just DO IT.

It's Monday, you're tired, you don't wanna workout tonight, you wanna give up on yourself and just eat junk food later. I get it, that's your mind testing you. Whenever you start to question yourself and your journey, take a second, look in the mirror and ask yourself "is this how I wanna look? Am I okay with this?" If the answer to that is yes, then by all means go eat junk food and skip the gym, the only one that is going to suffer is you. Because the pain of regret is WAY WORSE than the pain of discipline. But if you're not satisfied with how you look, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. So many people just settle for average results and go through the motions BUT NOT YOU, YOU ARE BETTER THAN THAT. Tell yourself everyday that you are capable of achieving greatness. I earned every part of this body, I built this body with blood, sweat, and tears. Yeah it f*cking sucked, but you know what? There is no greater feeling in the world than building the body of your dreams. You can't borrow a six pack, you can't borrow a chiseled chest or a nice ass. You WORK FOR IT, EVERY DAMN DAY. Stop thinking about how much work you have to put in the next 3-6 months to get to where you want to be. Take it one day at a time and tell yourself "today I'm gonna crush it, and today I'm going to beat the gyms ass" it's that simple.

"I've come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy."
- Tony Robbins
Use all of the past frustration and anger you've experienced to fuel you now as you head towards your future. I hit the gym everyday because it allows me to forget any bullshit that goes on in my daily life. Sometimes I walk into a workout pissed off, only to leave that workout with a sense of relief and fulfillment. A lot of people that you don't even know will root for you to succeed far past your wildest dreams. While people you do know very well, are just waiting and wishing for you to fail. Worry about yourself, not other people, trust me.
I was messing around in the gym earlier testing my vert. I'm not sure how high this is but I do know it was hard as hell to get up there haha. I don't consider myself a bodybuilder, I consider myself an athlete. I ran track my freshman year in college and was 120 pounds. I played basketball here and there and I was always smaller than everyone, that was part of my motivation to get in the gym and put on some size. I've always loved testing my limits and my body, it's amazing what you can accomplish when you start something and never give up on yourself.
Sunday fun day! Just smashed a lift this morning and took a ride on the Ducati down PCH! Yes I wore protective gear for my ride, for ALL of you concerned about my safety haha, I appreciate it! What's everyone up to today? Has anyone hit the OC fair yet?! I'm thinking about cruising over there this week.
NEW WEEK TOMORROW, lets get it! 😎
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
It's all about setting great examples for other people, and giving just one person hope that they too can change their life for the better. I've been where some of you are now. I know what it's like to be depressed, and miserable, and uncertain of your future. You may think that I have this amazing life, but it hasn't always been this way. I struggled for years with my own identity, and I really had to dig deep and find a way to pull myself out of some bad times to get to where I am now.
Remember, just because you're in a tough situation now, doesn't mean you're going to be in that situation forever. It's all about staying positive and understanding that you just have to keep moving forward and never stop grinding for the things that you want. Had a great day today at the NPC show in Culver city supporting the homie @randall_livefit on stage. Time to smash the weights and end my day with a movie. Tomorrow starts a new day! You ready?
