Shot this mini #beachycollections composition before going to @libertinepub today, but forgot to post it due to me getting violently ill after eating their fish n' chips. If you know me at all, I absolutely love fish n' chips! We also enjoy Libertine for their great beer selection and have been there around 10 times, but today was a horrible experience and I'm posting this and hope @libertinepub sees this because I'm frustrated at the way the server AND the manager responded to me becoming sick after eating their food (I've been throwing up since I ate the meal and couldn't finish it because it didn't taste that good, so Joey tried some and agreed). I began feeling sick about 20-25 minutes after first trying their fish n' chips, and couldn't finish it (or my yummy apricot sour beer), due becoming sick. The server told me that if it were food poisoning, it would take at least 30 minutes to set in, then proceeded to walk away and get our check. Acted like I was making it up to get out of paying. Still had to pay for the fish n' chips and all she said to me was a non-sincere, "I hope you feel better..." We leave, and then later, when the manager finally came in, Joey called to let him know what happened. He defended their food and how it was cooked, and said that if I had food poisoning that it would take around 10 hours to set in. Not apologetic at all; didn't offer any sorries, or anything else, just defended their food. I'm pretty frustrated now! To top it off, Joey has been feeling queasy from the few bites he tried as well. It's ridiculous they didn't provide better customer service, because I'm definitely not going back there anytime soon, especially for their food. Hello, @yelp review!
SLO area people! If you have a chance, make sure to check out The Naked Fish! It's a sushi restaurant right on Higuera in downtown, and it's absolutely fantastic! I tried the Seven Sisters roll - seared scallop, white truffle aioli, green onion, tobiko, and black lava salt! So amazing! ❤️
